Parallel to performing in many Operas and Musicals during her time there, she also gained varied teaching experiences, from vocal work - one to one in schools and private tuition, to classroom teaching in Europe. For the last five years, Becky has also enjoyed working pastorally on orchestral and musical theatre based summer schools here in England. She manages and regularly performs with ‘The Becky Hiller Jazz Quartet’ and recently spent a month in Tuscany performing ‘The Elixir of Love’ with British Youth Opera. Becky is currently working for the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham, as well as furthering her teaching career.

Peter Holt

Peter has been working with children and young adults for nearly ten years and is delighted to have been involved with The Company since it’s creation in 2007.

Having been a part of various youth groups throughout his childhood it seemed natural that Peter should keep returning as staff. His first experience of this was at the European Youth Summer Music course, where he still works every summer. This eventually led to him leading up his own team in charge of 120 students. Other youth projects that he has worked for include NYMT, K-Bis Theatre School, City College (Islington) and for the Ambassador Theatre Group. He has also, at various points, taught violin and drama privately.

In 2005 Peter was hired by Arriere-Ban Education, a company that goes in to schools all over the country doing history workshops, to suggest ways in which to make the subject more fun and accessible. The process went both ways and he acquired a passion for history that has led him to become one of Arriere-Ban’s main teaching staff, and head of it’s South East division.

Damien Ramsurn

Damien has been working for youth organisations for over 11 years. He has regularly headed up a housestaff team responsible for up to 160 young people and is greatly experienced in the management of youth organisations. A musician in his own right, Damien learnt classical piano from the age of 7 before concentrating on jazz piano in his mid teens. This interest took him to Leeds College of Music where he completed a BA Honours in Jazz Piano.

He has regularly performed at the Jazz Cafe, London and performed at Live8 / Make Poverty History in Edinburgh in 2005 as part of the group 'Bootis'. Damien can currently be heard with 'Bootis' on the Freeness Volume 1 compilation CD. A freelance photographer, he has worked with a variety of artists and was recently commissioned by Birmingham Conservatoire for its opera production.
